Meet Dr. Rueben Moyana, DMD
Dr. Moyana is originally from Zimbabwe, Africa. He is married to Edith Moyana, and they have 2 beautiful little girls, Joy and Jaida. They are members of CrossPointe Church, where Dr. Moyana serves as a greeter, elder, and in the Children’s ministry. He earned his bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2000 and his doctorate from the UAB School of Dentistry in 2004. He is a member of the ADA, the AL Dental Association, and the District Dental Society. Dr. Moyana makes it his priority to always strive to provide his patients with the highest quality dental care through his participation in Continuing Education courses. In his free time, he enjoys reading and studying his bible and other Christian resources, running, playing tennis, and mountain biking. Before moving to the area, Dr. Moyana practiced in Birmingham, AL, and served as an elder at The Church at Brookhills. He’s been blessed to participate in mission trips to New Orleans and Guatemala, as well as dental missions and evangelism trips to India, Uganda, and South Sudan.
Kristin - Office Manager
Kristin has over 13 years’ experience working in the dental field and has grown so much in it. She enjoys spending most of her time with her husband, Hamp, and four children, Amelia, Taven, Brylie, and Evelyn. In her spare time, she also loves to cook with her husband, refinish furniture, and spend time with her two furry boxers. She is always there to lend a helping hand to co-workers and loves to build them up
Abie - Front Desk Coordinator
Abie has been with us for over a year now. With a combined three years of dental scheduling and putting smiles on people’s faces when you walk through the door. She has two sweet dogs, Maple and Daisy. Abie also enjoys making chocolate-covered strawberries in her spare time. She enjoys family time and her sweet nephew, who had open heart surgery when he was born. He is her little miracle best friend, as she calls him. Abie loves her time here and we love her for all she does.
Sharnita - Dental Hygienist
Sharnita is originally from Omaha, Ga. She has two handsome young men, Davarri, and Jace. Her dental assisting certification was obtained from Columbus Technical College in 2020. She worked chairside with Dr. Moyana for a few years, and he sent her to hygiene school. Sharnita became a hygienist through Alabama Hygiene program. She prides herself in comforting her patients and making sure they are taken care of properly. Family is everything to her and she feels that Ft. Mitchell Dentistry is family as well.
Angel - Dental Hygienist
Angel has been in the dental field for ten years. She has been here at Fort Mitchell Dentistry for over five years. She is blessed with an amazing husband and two wonderful little boys. They enjoy Beach trips, baseball games, anything outdoors, and serving the Lord! Angel loves helping you feel good about your smile. She strives daily to continue her education in better serving the community with better oral health.
Danielle - Dental Hygienist
Danielle is a passionate dental hygienist who sincerely cares for her patients, from enhancing their smiles, to educating them about their oral health. She has been in the dental field since 2016. Outside of work, she is a wife and a mother to a beautiful baby girl. She enjoys spending time with them from evening walks to Sunday morning worship services.
Rachael - Dental Assistant
Rachael has been with Fort Mitchell Dentistry since 2019. She is a mom to three cats, Sweetie, Emerson, and Josi. She also loves Jesus, spending time with friends, family, and being outdoors. Rachael is great with our patients and will put you at ease when you are here.
Cherri - Insurance Coordinator
Mrs. Cherri graduated from Columbus State University in 1984 with a degree in Dental Hygiene and has been in the dental field since. She joined Fort Mitchell Dentistry in August 2023. Cherri married her husband in 1988 and acquired two bonus boys and now has five wonderful grandchildren in addition and two cats. Outside of work, Mrs. Cherri enjoys her family, friends, road trips, and motorcycle riding. Oh Yeah “Go Dawgs!”
